We recently ran into an issue with our office network setup. We moved part of our team to a new section of the building, and suddenly, the Ethernet connections didn’t reach far enough. The key thing I learned is that not all extenders handle long distances well. If you’re running a long ethernet cable, you need to check if the extender supports the distance you need without losing speed or signal quality. Some are great for short extensions, but if you're dealing with hundreds of feet, you’ll want one designed for that. Also, make sure the extender matches your speed requirements—some top out at 100 Mbps, while others can handle Gigabit speeds.
